NEWS HERALD STAFF REPORT
MARIANNA — The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of two people who were shot following a domestic disturbance.
Deputies responded to a domestic desturbance call at 11:38 p.m. Friday at 314 Highway 73 South in Marianna. A second call informed deputies that two people at the address appeared to have been shot.
When deputies arrived, they discovered the bodies of two people. It appeared that the male subject shot the female subject and then took his own life, according to a sheriff’s department press release.
The names of the victims were being withheld pending notification of next of kin, the release stated.
The Jackson County’s Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s Mobile Crime Scene Unite, according to the release. An investigation is continuing.
