Sonoma County, CA: Domestic-violence suspect found dead

A body discovered in the trunk of a car near Sonoma State University was that of a 31-year-old suspect in a Santa Rosa domestic-violence case, authorities said Tuesday.
The body of Sean Parker of Vallejo was found about 6:30 p.m. Monday in a Volvo parked in a no-parking zone on Petaluma Hill Road at East Cotati Avenue near Rohnert Park, across the street from the university, said Sonoma County sheriff's Lt. Dennis O'Leary.
The cause of Parker's death has not been released.
A check of the license plate revealed that the car was linked to a person wanted for questioning in a domestic-violence incident that happened Friday in Santa Rosa, authorities said.

Deputies saw blood inside the car that was later determined to be from Parker's girlfriend, investigators said. When they open the unlocked trunk, they discovered the body.
The girlfriend is safe and has been cleared of any involvement in Parker's slaying, O'Leary saiid.
