Just after 10 p.m. Monday, Renesha Nix, 25, and Phillips, 22, were involved in an argument in the 6800 block of Parc Brittany.
Nix called her mother to pick her up from the location to avoid a physical altercation with Phillips, police said.

Phillips then fled the area on foot, investigators said.
Tiesha Nix was pronounced dead on the scene and Renesha Nix was
transported to the hospital, where she is listed in critical condition.
Detectives were able to develop Phillips as the gunman in the

second degree murder.
