Jacksonville, FL: Thanksgiving Day murder suspect turns himself in

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. —
A 24-year-old woman was killed in a Thanksgiving Day murder in Northwest Jacksonville.  The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is accusing her ex-boyfriend of shooting her in front of family members.
Rolish Thomas and Calvin Wright, both 24, were arguing Thursday after Thomas said she was breaking up with Wright, according to police.
The two had been in a three month relationship.  They were reportedly fighting over a cell phone.
Police said Wright then fired several shots at Thomas, who was rushed to Shands Jacksonville hospital where she died.
It happened just after noon outside a home in the 1100 block of Almeda Street near West 2nd Street.
Wright was released from prison in April after being convicted on burglary charges.   He reportedly fled the crime scene on foot.
Just after 10 a.m. on Friday JSO sent an email saying that Wright had turned himself in to police.
