Mendon, N.Y. – Suspect Timothy Wells, 57, was charged with murder in the second degree Tuesday.
Wells, who was arraigned in Perinton Town Court, allegedly strangled his wife, Christine Sevilla, around 10 a.m. Monday in their house.
Sevilla was a published photographer whose photos and politics favored wooded areas and wetlands in Monroe County. She co-authored a work with Wells entitled “Where the Wild Things Are.”
She was an adjunct instructor in human resources management at the college from 2000 to 2008.
Call Came in Early Morning
Police initially responded to a 2:00 a.m. call, went to the park and found the woman’s body. At 9:00 a.m. a tow truck removed an auto from the park.

Neighbors Shocked
Neighbors wpoke findly of the two, a couple in their 50s who seemed loving and warm, who walked their dog Riley twice a day.
