Maple Shade, PA: Maple Shade woman guilty of killing ex-boyfriend

A Maple Shade woman was found guilty yesterday of first-degree murder in the 2006 shooting death of her ex-boyfriend.

Susan Dow, 48, was also found guilty of a firearms violation and faces a possible 30 years in prison at sentencing, set for Jan. 22 before Superior Court Judge Patricia LeBon, said Joel Bewley, spokesman for the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office.

Dow was on trial for the murder of William Seidle, 48, who reportedly had broken up with Dow and was dating someone else. After the slaying, Dow fled to Orlando, Fla., where she was taken into custody.

The jury deliberated over three days before returning the verdict yesterday afternoon. - Barbara Boyer
