Jefferson County, CO: Mile High Murder, No. 45: Likely murder-suicide at 11100 block of West Oregon Place in Jeffco

At this point, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office hasn't officially declared a couple found dead yesterday in unincorporated Jefferson County to have perished amid a murder-suicide. But given the scene on the 11100 block of West Oregon Place, an area captured in the graphic above (if you have problems seeing the image, click "View Larger Map"), and the fact that both the man and the woman in question expired due to gunshot wounds -- well, you don't have to be The Mentalist to reach that conclusion.

Below, find the info the JCSO has released to date:

Two found dead in unincorporated Jeffco
Jefferson County, Co. -- At 7:48 a.m. on October 19, 2009 Jeffco deputies responded to the 11100 block W. Oregon Pl. in reference to a welfare check. Upon arrival at the home deputies met with an adult female who claimed that her parents lived at the residence and hadn't been heard from recently. The woman asked the deputies to check their welfare because of her inability to contact them at home.

Upon entering the residence deputies discovered the bodies of an adult female and an adult male inside. Both decedents sustained unspecified gunshot wounds.

The preliminary investigation indicates no third party involvement in the deaths.

Names are being withheld pending positive identification and notification of family.
