STOW — Police in Stow say they shot and killed a man Aug. 1 they say broke into the home of his girlfriend while armed with a shotgun.
Stow police Capt. Rick Myers said 21-year-old John Rose was shot three times in the stomach and chest early that morning.
Myers says Rose broke into a house in Stow and demanded to see his 19-year-old girlfriend.
Myers said Rose got into a fight with the girl’s 56-year-old father, whom he threatened to kill.
According to the police, Rose was shot when police entered the house and he pointed the shotgun at them and refused to lower it on their orders.
