A Staten Island man died after his longtime girlfriend stabbed him early this morning after he told her he got another woman pregnant, authorities said.
James Braddox, 43, broke the news to Yoland McNeil-Moody, 44, at the St. George home they share with their 12 and 14-year-old children.
They got into an argument and then she allegedly stabbed him once in the chest with a large kitchen knife.
He hopped into his car and tried to drive to the hospital but crashed his car a block west on Beechwood Avenue around 2:30 a.m.
He died at Richmond University Hospital at 3:10 a.m. McNeil-Moody was arrested this afternoon.
She was charged with assault pending an official ruling from the Medical Examiner's office, a spokesman for Staten Island DA Daniel Donovan said.
