LAND O' LAKES, FL -- Detectives are investigating an apparent murder-suicide inside a Land O' Lakes homes. Deputies doing a welfare check at 22535 Stillwood Drive discovered the bodies of a man and woman around 1:00pm Thursday. The home is in the Lake Padgett Estates neighborhood. According to the Pasco Sheriff's Office, 2 coworkers of the female victim called 911 after discovering the two bodies. The coworkers came to the home because the female victim did not show up for work. Detectives believe the man shot and killed the woman with a rifle before turning the gun on himself. Family members have not been notified, so the names of both people have not been released. Neighbors say the pair were a recently engaged couple. |
