CAESARCREEK TWP., Greene County — Greene County Sheriff’s officials found two adults dead in their home this morning, Aug. 27, and authorities are treating it as a murder/suicide stemming from a domestic dispute.

The Greene County Coroner’s office identified the couple as Thomas W. Williams, 60 and Shelly A. Williams, 41, of 1743 Ireland Road.

Capt. Eric Spicer said deputies responded to the home at 8:16 a.m. after a 911 call from a family member “who was aware of a problem at the house.”

The 911 call appears to have come from an adult daughter of Thomas Williams who reports that he called her, crying, and asked her to take care of her sister. In the call, the caller tells police Williams has guns in the house.

Spicer said deputies made forced entry and found the two bodies in the house, which is in a rural area six miles south of Xenia.

The sheriff’s office continues to investigate the case, but Spicer said they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.

Neighbors said a middle-aged couple lived in the home with their school-age daughter.

Chris Theodor, who has lived next door to the family for 15 years, said he wasn’t aware of any past domestic incidents where police were called to the address.

“This was certainly not expected,” he said. “It’s just a sad deal.”
