ASHEVILLE, N.C. --Asheville police said that a boyfriend stabbed his girlfriend to death on Sunday after the couple had been arguing.The stabbing happened at 31 ½ West Chestnut St. at about 1:50 p.m.Police said they received a call about a couple fighting at 72 Woodlawn Ave. They said they received a second call a few minutes later saying that the man had chased the woman across the street and that he had a knife in his hand.Investigators said that when they arrived they found 42-year-old Rodney Robinson walking back toward Woodlawn Avenue. They said he had blood on him and made statements to officers taking responsibility for the stabbing.The victim, 45-year-old Angela Hart, was found dead at the West Chestnut Street location.Robinson was charged with first-degree murder and was being held at the Buncombe County Detention Center.
