Man gets 25 to life for killing girlfriend

Sepe

WHITE PLAINS – Robert Sepe, Sr., the Croton-on-Hudson man who killed his live-in girlfriend last year and then drove to an overpass on Route 17 in Binghamton where he threatened to jump, was sentenced Tuesday to 25 years to life in prison.

Sepe, 54, was convicted in May of second-degree murder for killing Janette Carlucci on March 22, 2008.

Sepe’s two sons entered their father’s home to find blood spattered walls and floors on the first floor. They called police and state troopers found Carlucci’s badly beaten body. She had been killed with a baseball bat.

Hours later on the same day, troopers took Sepe into custody when got him off the overpass on Route 17 after a five hour standoff.
