A 22-year-old woman was shot to death Wednesday night by a man who was also found shot to death at the same house, Birmingham police announced this morning.
According to a statement issued by police spokesman Sgt. Johnny Williams Jr., here's what happened:
West Precinct officers were called to 221 22nd Street Southwest on a report of two people shot. The incident happened at about 10:15 p.m.
A family member told police he found Teresa Wright and Talmadge Owens shot on the kitchen floor. Paramedics pronounced both dead on the scene.
Williams said this morning police believe Owens shot Wright and then killed himself in an act of domestic violence.
