Williamsburg Sailor Killed in Murder-Suicide

People in Clermont County Monday night were stunned to learn a murder-suicide had taken the life of a sailor recently back from IraqKurt Russell, 41, shot his wife Debbie Russell, 44 at their home on Happy Hollow Road, according to the Clermont County Sheriff’s office.
 
Debbie Russell was active in the American Legion Post in Williamsburg and was looking forward to taking part in the Memorial Day Parade. When she did not show up for the event, Legion members went to check on her, and saw a grizzly scene through a glass door. 

Kurt Russell shot his wife in the master bedroom, and then went to the living room where he shot himself, investigators said. But Russell did not die immediately, and went to the kitchen and then the master bedroom where he died. 

Debbie Russell joined the Navy when she was 40 years old. The couple had been married for six years. They did not have any children
