LUBBOCK, Texas — An autopsy report indicates that a prominent Lubbock orthodontist shot his wife and mother-in-law with a rifle before using the weapon on himself.
The Lubbock Avalanche-Journal reported in its Tuesday editions that Christopher Anderson left a suicide note near the bed where he and his wife were found slain. The bodies were found Jan. 19.
Elaine Anderson's body was found face down on a bed next to her husband's, autopsy reports stated.
The note was at the foot of their bed. Alice Johnson, Elaine Anderson's mother, was found lying in her bed in a home next door to the Anderson's home. Each woman had been shot twice in the head with a .22-caliber rifle. The orthodontist died from a single shot into his mouth.
