KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Authorities say they want find the non-custodial parent of a 4-year-old girl who is missing from the apartment where her mother was found dead.
Kansas City Police issued an AMBER Alert Friday morning for 4-year-old Allison Corrales after the girl's mother was found dead inside her apartment at 4023 Harvard Circle on the city's east side. See Map Below
The woman’s husband, Luis Corrales, 31, is a person of interest in this case.
Capt. Rich Lockhart, a spokesman for the Kansas City Police Department tells NBC Action News Luis Corrales had an order of protection issued against him by the woman. Late Friday afternoon, authorities said the man is a person of interest in the girl's disappearance.
Luis CorralesPolice tell NBC Action News the brother-in-law had not heard from the mother in several days and asked apartment management to allow him into the home.
Police said they were not sure how the mother died, how long her body has been there or how long the girl has been missing.
Allison is about 3 feet tall and weighs about 50 pounds.
