Fairfax Teenager Arrested in Death of Girlfriend

A 17-year-old was arrested yesterday afternoon in the Herndon area in the stabbing death of his teenage girlfriend, Fairfax police said today. It happened after the two argued over their relationship, according to police.Officers discovered Siobhan L. Russell, 19, in a downstairs room at her boyfriend's home, in the 12700 block of Magna Carta Road, with a fatal stab wound to her upper body. He is charged as a juvenile, and police did not release his name.Police were called to the home about 4:30 p.m. by the boyfriend's father, who was in the home at the time of the slaying, police said. The teen lived in the house with his grandparents, according to authorities.This was the third homicide in Fairfax County this year.
